In addition to its role as an ad-hoc advisory body for the review of laws affecting the New York title insurance industry, this year the Law Committee is continuing its mission for the current Association year of reviewing and ratifying a comprehensive update of the Association’s Recommended Title Practices. The Law Committee is also working in coordination and consultation with the Education Committee on crystallizing a prototype of a title insurance syllabus for title professionals in training. It is hoped that the syllabus could develop into a framework upon which the Association can build future continuing educational offerings.
