Working quietly behinds the scenes, the Education Committee has been putting final touches on the 2021 Spring Series of Professional Education webinars. We are waiting for final approval from the DFS Education Division before specific dates can be announced.
In January, we will present the first webinar, “When Tax, Trusts and Title Collide” by Kenneth J. Falcon and Matthew E. Rappaport from Falcon Rappaport & Berkman. This is followed in February by a webinar on the always popular topic of “Claims”, presented by Antonio Vozza of First American. The March webinar is “Common Litigation Areas and Mitigation” by Amy Abbandondelo from Sherwood and Truitt.
The Technology Committee will present a live CE/CLE at the February 4th Title Tech Expo, a virtual event. All of the Q1 webinars award both CE and CLE credits.
Additional Topics planned for 2021 include “Inclusive Language and Diversity”, “Curative Work”, and “Escheatment “.
Last year, the Committee added the first videos to our Online Course Library on the member website. These were well received by members and received many visits. We will continue to work on the Video Library and we hope to increase the number of courses available and continue to build out the online program and course offerings.
If you would like to present a webinar, please contact the NYSLTA Staff. We would love to have you included in the 2021 curriculum and we always welcome volunteers willing to demonstrate their expertise and share their professional knowledge.
