OneTitle

On October 8, 2020, the New York State Department of Financial Services sent letters to those holding title insurance policies issued by OneTitle National Guaranty Company, Inc., advising those policy holders that the New York Supreme Court of New York County has placed OneTitle into liquidation.  The letter further advised that all OneTitle policies would be cancelled by the court effective November 5, 2020.  Policy holders were also advised to explore whether a new title insurance policy would be appropriate, specifically suggesting that the policy holder contact the attorney who represented the policy holder at the closing.
